Particle Horizon Collector **v0.3.0** expands monitoring coverage across supported applications and introduces improvements to licensing, reliability, security, and deployment.

## What’s New

### Expanded DACS Monitoring

Monitoring coverage for DACS environments has been significantly expanded, providing greater visibility into the health and operation of key DACS services and processes.

### MarketsIO Monitoring

Initial monitoring support has been introduced for **MarketsIO APX, PGX and APG**, enabling additional operational metrics to be collected through Particle Horizon.

### Licence Health Monitoring

The Collector now provides improved visibility into licence status and expiry. Licences are periodically revalidated, allowing monitoring and alerting to identify invalid or approaching-expiry licences without requiring a Collector restart.

### Additional MosaicOA Monitoring

MosaicOA monitoring has been extended with additional gateway-related telemetry where the supporting data source is available.

## Improvements

- **DACS reliability:** Improved handling and interpretation of DACS monitoring data across supported processes and environments.
- **Monitoring resilience:** Individual monitoring-source failures are better isolated, helping other available telemetry continue to be collected.
- **Security:** Additional safeguards have been introduced around host-local DACS monitoring.
- **MarketsIO telemetry:** Improvements help ensure metrics remain correctly identified when exported to downstream monitoring platforms.
- **Linux packaging:** Service configuration and package contents have been corrected and made more consistent for packaged Linux deployments.
- **Licensing:** Improved licence lifecycle handling provides earlier visibility of expiry and validation issues.
- **Software compliance:** Distributed packages now include relevant third-party software licence information.
- **Platform updates:** Updated underlying OpenTelemetry components provide ongoing compatibility and reliability improvements.

## Upgrade Notes

Existing **v0.2.1** deployments can upgrade to v0.3.0 without enabling the newly introduced monitoring capabilities.

The new DACS, MarketsIO and MosaicOA monitoring functionality may require additional configuration and appropriate access to the monitored applications or services.

Customers using customised Linux service configurations should review those settings following the upgrade.

Customers wishing to use licence expiry monitoring may also need to enable the appropriate Collector telemetry output.

## Summary

**v0.3.0** is primarily a monitoring and operational reliability release. It delivers broader application coverage, improved licence visibility, more resilient metric collection, enhanced security controls, and improved deployment packaging.

The new capabilities can be introduced progressively, allowing existing installations to upgrade while retaining their current monitoring configuration.
